Alan Forde joined Black Creek Investment Management in October 2009 as Chief Operating Officer responsible for day-to-day operations, trading and business development.

Alan brings 22 years of experience in capital markets, at firms both large (TD Securities, RBC Dominion Securities, Wood Gundy) and boutique (Sanwa McCarthy, McNeil Mantha). He delivered equity related research products and trading strategies to portfolio managers and analysts at major Canadian investment counselors, provincial treasuries and pension funds. He was consistently highly rated in the surveys of Greenwich Associates and Brendan Wood International. Alan played a significant role in the growth of TD Securities Institutional Equities leaving as Vice President and Director. Prior to the investment industry, he was the Manager of Information Processing with SED Systems in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Having run ten marathons, he takes the best elements of that competition to his planning and execution of the business plan. Using his strong work ethic and coaching background he builds a great team environment. In addition, Alan practiced and honed his leadership skills while sitting on the boards of several foundations as well as presiding over a number of community associations.

His formal education includes the required regulatory courses and the Bachelor of Photographic Technology program at Ryerson University.
